FCC has been appointed as a Mentor Organisation, one of eight recently appointed by the Cabinet Office (CO). A number of social enterprise agencies have been chosen as good quality models from which others can learn and alongside these will be Mentor Organisations who have good experience of working as a Social Enterprise or as ‘not-for-distributed-profit’. Chairman Laurie’s first assignment is to consider the needs of a fledgling home care co-operative agency in Rochdale. This agency’s problems are connected to the current financial situation and Laurie hopes to offer strategies to survive current and future challenges.
