We are proud to announce the appointment of Kim Perkins, to the role of Registered Manager, for Wales
The role is to manage the service within Wales, to provide the highest quality fostering provision to children and young people, and a valued support service to the foster carers.
Ian Brazier, Executive Director said,
“After a rigorous selection process Kim emerged as the outstanding candidate for this position. She has a great depth of knowledge and experience in social care and her work within varied teams and different projects will be a real asset to The Foster Care Co-operative.”
Kim is already in post and her familiarity with the culture and vision, as well as her strong leadership skills has already made a swift impression to the fostering service and to the children’s welfare.
Kim has spent the last 15 years at Cardiff Council working in many of the fostering and adoption teams, and was formally Service Manager for Looked After Children Services. She says,
“I’m thrilled to be joining The Foster Care Co-operative. The ethos of the company really influenced my decision; ‘not for profit’, whilst providing quality support to vulnerable children throughout Wales and a 24/7 provision to the foster carers. I’m looking forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead. Knowing they have just celebrated fifteen years; I’m excited to work with the community of professional foster carers and the dedicated staffing team.”
