Exhibition of FCC Children's Art at the West Wharf Gallery in Cardiff - Do Come and See It!
The Foster Care Co-operative’s Cardiff office is delighted to announce the opening for their See Me art exhibition at West Wharf Gallery, Cardiff, on 5th April from 12.00 noon.
The exhibition will feature the artwork of Looked After Children from all over Wales and will be opened by Karl Davies, Chief Adviser Wales at the BBC Trust and supported by Gwenda Thomas, Deputy Minister for Children and Social Services.
During the event there will be light refreshments will be served and music from Midnight Martini.
The artwork on display was created during a series of three art workshops run by the Cardiff office. The varied paintings and collages have accompanying narratives which explain the thoughts and memories which prompted the designs – in fact this is a retrospective of experiences and an expression of personal perceptions related by young people in the care system in Wales who are now looking to the future through the support of their foster carers and the Foster Care Co-operative.
The exhibition is open from 5th-19th April at West Wharf Gallery on the top floor of Jacob’s Building Cardiff, CF10 5DB.
