BBC Radio interview with Helen from FCC Wales
On Saturday April 4th Karl Davies, Chief Adviser Wales at the BBC Trust, opened the SEE ME art exhibition at the West Wharf Gallery in Cardiff. Organised by Helen Shardlow (Education Adviser in Cardiff) and the Cardiff office, the event was a great success!
Now Helen has been interviewed by BBC Radio Wales and you’ll be able to hear the interview if you go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0079ghv
During the interview (skip to 3mins 15secs in) Helen tells Nicola Heywood Thomas all about the exhibition and the story behind the pictures which were painted by our children in Wales. Do try and listen to the piece, you have six days from today (April 10th) to hear it.
The artwork on display was created during a series of three art workshops run by the Cardiff office. The varied paintings and collages have accompanying narratives which explain the thoughts and memories which prompted the designs – in fact this is a retrospective of experiences and an expression of personal perceptions related by our young people.
The exhibition runs from 5th-19th April at West Wharf Gallery on the top floor of Jacob’s Building Cardiff, CF10 5DB – do try to see it if you have a chance!
