Foster children and birth children of FCC’s carers will get to see their stories published in books entitled ‘Short Stories & Tall Tales’.
The books feature all entries for FCC’s annual Short Story Competition – which is currently in its third year. The competition is open to both birth children and foster children of FCC’s carers.
The books feature pictures inspired by the stories – and contain a Foreword from the competition’s judge.
Published author Siobhan Curham, who not only judged last year’s competition but is due to judge the 2015 entries, had this to say in the Foreword to the 2014 edition: “I hope you enjoy reading this collection as much as I did when I was judging them. And I really hope the writers concerned feel proud of their achievements and carry on writing”.
The books will be given out to all entrants to the competitions – and could be made available for the general public to buy in the future, with proceeds being donated to a worthy cause. Watch this space!
