We have had some fantastic academic outcomes this year!
We had 8 children who took GCSE examinations this year and 100% have achieved qualifications, enabling them to pursue their plans of going to college.
Seven of them have embarked on further education college courses, including L1 BTEC Animal Care, Foundation to Hospitality and Catering, L2 Light Vehicle Maintenance and Public Services.
One has gone on to study ‘A’ levels at a sixth form college.
75% of our Year 11s who took GCSEs this year have statements of Special Educational Needs or Education, Health and Care Plans.
100% of Young People who took GCSEs gained at least 2 GCSEs grades A*-G alongside other qualifications.
63% of them gained at least 5 GCSEs A*-G with 25% of them surpassing expectations.
13% of our Year 11s who took GCSEs gained at least 5 GCSEs grade A*-C, including English and Maths.
There was one Young Person who was not entered for GCSEs because he has severe special needs, but he is continuing further education at his special school. Another Young Person who came into our care in May who had been in alternative education before this has secured a place at college to do hairdressing.
In September 2016 all 10 of our Year 11s (100%) are continuing with their education either at further education colleges, school or sixth form college.
We are extremely proud of these children, and what they have achieved!
Well done all!
