Today we held the first training session of 2015 for the family members and friends of our Foster Carers. The course aims to provide insightful knowledge, skills and the abilities to assist the full time Foster Carers, and the opportunity to think about how Foster Care will have an impact on their lives.

The Duchess of Cambridge has been invited to an event hosted by the charity ‘The Fostering Network’ to celebrate the work of Foster Carers in providing support to vulnerable young people today, on Friday 16 January.
At this time of year, many well intentioned people have found that their New Year resolutions are already broken or ‘off track’, however achieving a positive change in 2015 is still possible! The Foster Care Co-operative is encouraging people across England and Wales, to consider becoming a Foster Carer.

We're recruiting foster carers across North & South Wales, who can provide a loving home to children, teenagers or a young parent and baby.

Amber-Jade was on ITV Wales last night, talking about her story ‘The Wild Ones’ - which is about her time at home before coming into care; looking after her younger brothers and sisters and being a mother figure to them, and feeling so isolated that running away and sleeping rough was the only way to escape - all at age 13.

Every year staff in Wales, take the looked after children along with their foster carers and foster families for a morning on the ice.

In October, The Fostering Network, a national charity who support fostering services across the UK, called on young writers, who live in fostering families, to submit short stories and poems to the competition.
