We are a not-for-profit co-operative and registered with Co-operatives UK. We are a private company limited by guarantee incorporated in 1999.
Our fees are highly competitive, age related and discounted for long term placement. We retain no profit and the money received is typically spent as follows:
- 52% on foster carer fees
- 24% on staffing
- 24% on training, insurances, premises, travel and all other costs.
Staffing and registration
We are registered with Ofsted in England and CSSIW in Wales. Inspection reports can be viewed on these websites: www.ofsted.gov.uk and www.csiw.wales.gov.uk.
We have three managers registered under Fostering Services Regulations and qualified and experienced social work teams.
As stated in FCCs most recent Ofsted Report:
"This agency provides a consistently high quality service...all outcome areas are good with some outstanding features. Key features of this agency are the low caseloads for supervising social workers which helps them give outstanding support to foster carers. There is also a high level of stable placements experienced by children and young people and excellent training and resulting telephone consultation available to supervising social workers and foster carers."

We have active groups of carers in:
The West Midlands, Bristol and the South West, Merseyside, Staffordshire, Yorkshire, Cambridgeshire, Suffolk and throughout Wales.
We are fully insured against the following risks:
- Public Liability £5,000,000
- Employers’ Liability £10,000,000
- Professional Indemnity £1,000,000
- All Risks/Malicious Damage for Carers £100,000.
Preferred provider status
We have ‘preferred provider status’ with a number of local authorities. Referees can be provided on request.
We are an expanding agency and are always interested to plan with local authorities to meet the needs of children. If we advertise for foster carers in your area, we discourage applications from existing carers, we plan the campaign to support rather than undermine your service.
