Providing foster care is about putting the happiness, welfare and best interests of local children first.

Through our network of amazing foster carers across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire supported by our team of knowledgeable social workers, we’ve got over 20 years experience of doing just that for vulnerable children in care in the east of England.

Becoming a foster carer with our not-for-profit agency gives you full training, 24/7 support, generous carer fees and a variety of soft benefits.  You will get our commitment to support you in providing the best care possible for vulnerable children. Our team of experienced social workers will look after you every step of the way on your fostering journey.

With over 57,500 children living with foster parents in England in March 2022, and with an urgent need for at least 5,000 more foster families needed right now, we need families like yours to join our #notforprofitfostering network to support young people in your local area.  CAN YOU OPEN YOUR HEART & YOUR HOME?

Why choose us?

We give foster carers the opportunity to get involved and have their say through our online Carer Forum and local regional Carer Support Groups.

We also run regular events and activities for our foster families.

Becoming a foster parent / carer

We start with an informal chat over the phone.  Then we follow up with an application pack for you to complete and we set up a home visit by one of our social workers.

Next we commence a process called a Form F, which is a detailed assessment. At Stage 1 we do various checks including a DBS, a medical and references.  Stage 2 looks in more detail about your adult life and childhood, your relationships, your work and family life.

Once Form F is completed we invite you to a Fostering Panel, which is the final step to approve all new foster carers.

After this, you’re ready to make a change to a child’s life!
