Fostering in The North West
Could you make a difference to a child's life?
Being supported by our North West Regional team means you will get full training, 24/7 support and be paid professional carer fees for the children you look after. Our team of experienced Social Workers will look after you every step of the way on your fostering journey.
With over 57,500 children living with foster parents in England in March 2022, and with an urgent need for at least 5,000 more foster families needed right now, we need families like yours to join our #notforprofitfostering network to support young people in your local area. CAN YOU OPEN YOUR HEART & YOUR HOME?
When you start your journey to becoming a foster carer in the NORTH WEST OF ENGLAND, you become an integral part of our #notforprofitfostering network. We help create foster families for young people from all backgrounds and of all ages who need support and care.
So many of the young people who are in the UK care system, do not have good, positive experiences with adults to draw from. You may find that your home is the first place where they have been allowed to feel safe and nurtured.
Fostering is not easy, but it is one of the most rewarding things you can do, as so many families across the North West of England have already found out. From rural surroundings to inner-city living, could you be the next family to open your door to help a local child in care?
Manchester City Council reports that only about 60% of the looked after children are actually within 20 miles of their home. There is a real need for more foster carers in and around Manchester to support keeping children within the communities that they call home. CAN YOU OPEN YOUR HEART & YOUR HOME?
Bury council are committed to helping keep children in foster care close to their community, school, friends and family. There is an urgent need for more foster carers within the local area. CAN YOU OPEN YOUR HEART & YOUR HOME?
There are more than 3,500 children in foster care in the Merseyside area (Liverpool, St Helens and the Wirral). There is a particular need for foster carers in this area who are ready to look after babies and toddlers (0-4 years). CAN YOU OPEN YOUR HEART & YOUR HOME?

Don't take our word for it...
Very pleased with the support we receive from FCC. The training is good. The staff in the office are always helpful and answer my questions very quickly. My Social Worker is a huge support and gives me confidence when I sometimes question myself."
